Guests can split bills by item, by person, or by equal share directly from the tableside ordering interface.
POWRPOS has added split payment support to its tableside ordering feature, allowing restaurant servers to split bills by item, by person, or by equal share directly from the tableside interface. The new feature addresses one of the most common pain points in restaurant service: the end-of-meal bill splitting process.
Three Ways To Split
Servers can now split bills three ways: Split by Item lets you assign each item to a different guest or payment method, Split by Person divides the bill equally among the number of guests, and Split by Amount lets you set specific amounts for each payment method.
- Split by item — assign items to different guests
- Split by person — equal share among any number of guests
- Split by amount — set specific amounts per payment method
- Pay with any combination of cash, card, or digital wallet
Faster Table Turns
Split payment processing is a major source of friction at the end of a meal. The new feature reduces bill settlement time by an average of 3-4 minutes per table, directly improving table turn times and server efficiency.
For a busy restaurant serving 100 tables per evening, saving 3 minutes per table adds up to 5 additional hours of table time per night.
Available Now
Split payments for tableside ordering are available now for all POWRPOS restaurant subscribers. The feature is enabled by default — no additional configuration required.
