POWRPOS didn’t start in a boardroom — it started during close at a restaurant that had been running on paper tickets because the POS kept crashing.
The Idea
After years of managing busy F&B operations, our founders grew frustrated with clunky, overpriced POS systems. The first sketch of POWRPOS was drawn on a napkin during a late-night close.
First Deploy
Our pilot restaurant ran live for six months on a pre-alpha build. We rewrote the entire order engine twice based on feedback from their Saturday night rushes.
Public Launch
POWRPOS v1.0 went live with 12 core features — no contracts, no setup fees, no sales team. Word spread fast among independent operators.
Offline Mode
We shipped true offline-first architecture so that a dropped internet connection never costs a sale. Transactions queue locally and sync when the network returns.
Global Scale
